A Casual Brunch

A few weeks ago, 2 friends of mine conspired to set me up with someone they recently met at Lake Lanier.  I initiated an email contact with The Lawyer and we were off to the races. We exchanged a ton of emails, texts and some phone calls and finally, after 3 weeks of virtual communication, we met up for a casual brunch.

The Lawyer and I bonded over our passion for latin jazz and the fact that we have both spent a few years living in New York City.  The conversation flowed freely and it was a nice time.  Brunch in some ways is good for a first date because it’s casual, and pretty short in duration.  But it’s also hard to read because it’s casual and pretty short in duration - i.e. you can’t really get sauced and flirt too ostentatiously.

I had a good time but couldn’t figure out whether or not we’d see each other again.  The Lawyer is a busy fellow and somewhat content in his singlehood.  I’m going to sit tight and see if he gets in touch…..
