Date & Dish

It started out with the first date curse (better known as the one date wonder) — that lasted for about 3 years. Then it ended, and after a 4-month relationship I am cursed again. I have been on a second date curse for exactly 3 months.

I went out with “KF” on Saturday night and it was the best second date I’ve had in a long time. We went to Tavern at Phipps for dinner and then the Ritz Carlton for more drinks. KF is the complete opposite of me. He’s dangerous. He’s not my type. He is type A personality, doesn’t go to church, has a motorcycle, did drugs in his twenties, has tattoos, he is into boxing, has facial hair, he sugar coats NOTHING. But somehow it works. I don’t understand it. I can talk to him about anything. The chemistry is overwhelming. How many people really end up with their “type”? How many of us end up with their “idea” of a husband/boyfriend? Where does this idea come from anyway, our past experiences? It’s misleading.

Will KF break my second date curse? Will there be a third date curse? Only time will tell.
