Response From Book Thief
Published by Friday 4 years, 2 months ago in DissesYes, I will gladly return your book. As you said, it was not my intention to get a free book.
It was rude of me to avoid you the way I did and I apologize. The reason I acted the way I did is that I didn’t want to have to tell you that I have a girlfriend. I think you are very cool and I really enjoyed hanging out with you and had a great time going to the park! [That movie we talked about] was on TV the other day and it made me think of you and that it would have been fun to watch it together

I spite of my behavior, I’m not a jerk or an asshole, even if I may have acted like one. Again, I’m sorry I wasn’t completely honest with you — and for that I may be a little bit of a jerk! You are an awesome, cool, and fun girl — I wish things had been a little less complicated on my side.
Anyways, I don’t expect a pat on the back for finally opening up to you. I chose the path of least resistance and I’m sorry I handled things the way I did.
Best wishes

Blah. Whatever. One of my coworkers suggested replying, “Your girlfriend is a lucky girl!” That would be rich. I think I’ll just keep my response to, “Thanks — I’ll keep an eye out for my book!”
His girlfriend is not lucky!! I would not like it if my boyfriend was dating other people!!
